Maha Wizaya Pagoda is known as one of the top must-visit place once you spend your vacation in Yangon. It was constructed in 1980 on the Dhammarakkhita Hill (Guardian of the Law) which confronts the popular Shwedagon Pagoda to recognize the first successful convening of all sects of the Buddhist religious order, under one supervisory body. The funds used to build the pagoda were fully donated by the individuals over the entire nation. A Buddha image which was a royal present from the King and Queen of Nepal is preserved inside the pagoda.
All way of customary decoration was done by modern artisans and artists with their effort to protect the national culture created through the ages.
