Van Long National Nature Reserve brings you to one the most stunning landscapes in Vietnam with the nickname “a bay without waves” because the water is as calm as a giant mirror reflecting mountains and clouds.
Recent days, Quang Binh, Ninh Binh, and Halong are being well known as hot attractions in Vietnam as Kong movie’s location. As a reserve with various favourable conditions, especially the beautiful and attractive natural scenery and reasonable tourism management mechanism, Van Long wetland nature reserve annually attracts thousands of tourists. When coming here, on a small boat floating along the river, people will be overwhelmed by its magnificent landscape. The best season to visit Van Long is in the summer when the lotus is blooming. On the top cliff of mount named Cua Chua, scientists discovered drawings which normally are not very clear but when water poured on, you can see paintings of human and ideograms.
If you are a nature lover, you will not be disappointed as the fauna and flora typify the ecosystem here. Van Long achieved 2 national records for being the largest unspoiled landscape and having the most Delacour’s langur. The largest minority of Delacour’s langur is living on Hoang Quyen mountain, if hanging around here in the afternoon you can see them playing or eating. The Dutch government, the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Cuc Phuong Rescue Center for Rare and Precious Primates are involved in preserving the endangered animal species in Van Long.
