According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, this year, Vietnam’s tourism is honored to be nominated in 10 categories. Those categories are “Asia’s Top Destination 2022;” “Asia’s Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination 2022;” “Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination 2022; “Asia’s Leading Cultural Destination 2022;” “Asia’s Leading Nature Destination 2022;” and “Asia’s Leading Youth Destination 2022;” “Asia’s Top Beach Destination 2022;” “Asia’s Leading Travel Agency 2022” for Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; “Asia’s Leading City Destination 2022” is for Hanoi and “Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination 2022” is for Hoi An.

2021 was a big win year for Vietnam at World Travel Awards

In 2021, Vietnam also achieved many successes at WTA when surpassing other strong competitors in tourism such as China, Korea, and Thailand … Vietnam was honored to receive the title of “Asia’s Leading Destination” Asia” – the highest travel award for Asian travel destinations.

Besides the remaining award categories, Vietnam also won in 31 categories, including many important categories such as “Asia’s Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination”, “Score to Asia’s leading cultural tourism city” (for Hoi An), “Asia’s top attractions” (for Ha Long Bay).

In addition, many accommodation establishments and tourism businesses of Vietnam have also been honored in several categories, including Vietnam Airlines (Asia’s leading airline – economy class and cultural airline).
