The Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) is a biennial sporting event with the participation of 11 countries in Southeast Asia. SEA Games is a meaningful congress in cooperation and development among Southeast Asian countries.
After SEA Games 22nd in 2003, Vietnam once again became the host country for the SEA Games 31st in 2022. The event took place from May 12 to May 23, 2 months after the reopening with 40 Sports (526 events) and was held in Hanoi and 11 neighboring cities and provinces (Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Phu Tho). SEA games 30 was held in the Philippines.
After more than 12 days of competition, Sea Games 31 officially ended on May 23, 2022. Organizing competitions in 11 localities, more than 10,000 athletes, coaches, referees, the participation of 3000 volunteers, and a large audience in gyms, and stadiums, Sea Games 31 is a season of Sea Games that was a success in many ways.
Sea Games 31 is the second time that Vietnam has been crowned as the host country. It is also a difficult period for Vietnam in the context of “normalization” after a long time of implementing strict anti-epidemic measures. However, with careful and comprehensive preparation, what has happened in the past 3 weeks has shown a strong Vietnam, always trying to overcome all difficulties, a proactive, connecting and spreading Vietnam spread positive inspiration with the message “For a stronger Southeast Asia”.
Sea Games 31 not only has a sports meaning but also a cultural meaning, about Southeast Asian people, about promoting the image of a Vietnam that is “safe, friendly, hospitable, integrated and developed” to all participants and followers.
Vietnam has left a mark in the hearts of 11 participating sports teams in terms of service efforts and careful preparation from the stages of accommodation, relaxation, dining, ..
Besides, this is an opportunity to promote the tourism industry of the country as well as the localities to host a number of sports at the regional playground, thereby contributing to widely spreading the image of the country. Vietnamese people and good impressions are deposited in the hearts of international friends, especially the image of a responsible Vietnam, enthusiastic and hospitable Vietnamese people.
