The event brought together a diverse group of participants, including representatives from both governments, travel businesses, media, and academic institutions. The Significance of the Seminar

More than just an information-sharing seminar, Pakistan Tourism Day served as a meaningful bridge for cross-cultural, educational, and economic collaboration. It reaffirmed the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Pakistan and opened new avenues for bilateral cooperation in tourism, education, and people-to-people exchange.

As a destination, Pakistan offers immense potential for tourism development. From ancient Buddhist heritage and the historic Gandhara region to majestic natural landscapes and vibrant local traditions, the country is increasingly drawing interest from travelers seeking meaningful and immersive experiences. Its distinct cultural identity and warm hospitality continue to inspire curiosity and connection. These qualities were vividly showcased through a documentary titled “Pakistan – The Hidden Gem of South Asia,” produced by TOES Filmmakers at the initiative of Ambassador Kohdayar Marri.

During the seminar, H.E. Kohdayar Marri, Ambassador of Pakistan to Vietnam, presented Pakistan’s national tourism strategy, highlighting Buddhist heritage as a cornerstone, with Gandhara positioned as a focal point for spiritual and cultural tourism. Representing Vietnam, Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Ha, Rector of Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, emphasized the importance of internationalizing education and preparing future tourism professionals for global integration.
