Introduced in late 2024, traveling by e-bike has emerged as a fresh and promising way to explore Vietnam. The Eviva team sees this as an exciting addition to the country’s travel experiences – one that offers visitors a more immersive, flexible, and eco-friendly way to connect with local life and landscapes.
Currently available in Ninh Binh and Hanoi, the e-bike programs present two distinct perspectives: Hanoi offers an energetic urban discovery filled with culture and daily rhythm, while Ninh Binh unfolds a scenic countryside journey through tranquil villages, ancient temples, and local houses scattered among limestone mountains and vast rice fields. Both routes reveal the diversity of Vietnam’s charm – in motion, at a pace that invites travelers to truly take it all in.

Ninh Binh by E-bike: Scenic Countryside
In June, two members of the Eviva team conducted a focused inspection of the Ninh Binh e-bike route, a landscape defined by dramatic limestone karsts and expansive rice fields. The route followed quiet lanes and traditional villages, combining scenic beauty with practical considerations for travelers, including accessibility and ease of navigation.

Key highlights included Thai Vi Temple, honoring the Tran Dynasty, and Thien Huong Cave, where cool air and soft light created a serene atmosphere. Traversing Coi Khe and Dam Khe Trong villages, the team observed local life, participated in a tea break with freshly picked Voi leaves, and shared a home-cooked dinner with a local family – all elements adding authenticity and depth to the experience.
From an operational perspective, the program proved well-structured, with comfortable bikes and knowledgeable local guides enhancing safety and engagement. Each stop was selected to balance culture, nature, and genuine human connection, making the Ninh Binh e-bike tour a compelling, immersive product that offers both scenic and meaningful interactions for travelers.
Hanoi E-bike Inspection: Authentic Neighborhoods
The Eviva team began the Hanoi inspection with a visit to the headquarters of E-Bike Vietnam, where we familiarized ourselves with the two e-bike models currently in operation. This preparatory briefing provided essential insights into the technical features, comfort, and suitability of the bikes for different types of travelers.

Once on the bikes, we cycled through narrow alleys alive with daily life, observing the rhythms and routines of local residents. The route led us past B-52 Lake, Lang Ho Village, and Vong Thi Pagoda, each corner offering glimpses into Hanoi’s layered history and cultural nuances. Continuing around Truc Bach Lake and through Ba Dinh Square, home to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the ride combined urban discovery with historical context, making every turn both educational and engaging.
The morning concluded with a warm family-style lunch at a local home, a warm and memorable moment that highlighted the human connection at the heart of this e-bike experience. The inspection affirmed that Hanoi’s urban e-bike tour offers travelers an authentic, immersive way to engage with the city’s heritage, local life, and hidden corners.
Reflections and Insights
The inspection trips reinforced the potential of e-bike experiences as a distinctive and engaging way to explore Vietnam. In Ninh Binh, tranquil villages, limestone landscapes, and immersive cultural stops showcased the possibilities for rural exploration. In Hanoi, hidden alleys, bustling local life, and historic landmarks demonstrated how urban routes can offer both authenticity and convenience.

Throughout the journey, the Eviva team observed operational strengths and identified opportunities to refine logistics, route design, and service delivery. Engaging with local guides, operators, and families highlighted the importance of human connection, cultural sensitivity, and attention to detail in creating memorable travel experiences.
Ultimately, the inspection confirmed that both Ninh Binh and Hanoi e-bike programs are well-positioned to offer travelers unique, meaningful experiences. Following the trip, the Eviva team met with local operators and sat down with Mr. Quang, the passionate and dedicated founder of this meaningful project, for in-depth discussions. Together, they provided feedback, shared insights, and explored ways to integrate services more effectively.
With ongoing updates, close collaboration with partners, and thoughtful itinerary design, Eviva ensures that these tours uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and authenticity – inviting visitors to explore Vietnam in an immersive, responsible, and unforgettable way. The Eviva team looks forward to delivering these journeys, offering travelers meaningful encounters with the country’s culture, landscapes, and local life!
