- While not included in the official itinerary, we recommend an optional activity: shooting AK47, M16, M60, and M30 rifles. The cost is $2 per bullet (10 bullets per line). You can experience the thrill of firing these historic weapons under expert supervision.
- You can participate in this tour either as part of a group (join tour) or as a private tour. Please let us know your preference beforehand.
Tour Plan
Half-Day Itinerary in Cu Chi Tunnels
- Our driver and experienced tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. We'll travel to Cu Chi within 1.5 hours.
- Watch a brief documentary introducing Vietnam's historical underground bunker system, designed for shelter, protection against bombs, living, healing, and meetings, etc.
- Walk into the forested base area to explore the actual locations previously introduced, experiencing firsthand how the Vietnamese military and people utilized underground hiding techniques, disguised entrances, and various allocated areas for traps, meetings, activities, and medical care.
- Learn about and discover the different traps and weapons used during the war, and visit a rice paper workshop (if available).
- After the tour, you'll have some downtime to relax and try the locals' familiar specialty, boiled cassava, accompanied by hot tea.
- Return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City around 2 PM.
