10-day trip in Vietnam – Explore from Northern to Southern Vietnam include Hanoi city tour (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, Temple of Literature, Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake), wooden junk boat trip on Ha Long Bay, relax at Danang beaches, Hoi An city tour (Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Meeting Hall, Tan Ky House), Museum of Champa Sculpture, Saigon, historical Cu Chi Tunnels, cruise trip down the Mekong river.

Itinerary: HANOI – HA LONG – HA NOI – DA NANG – HOI AN – SAI GON – CU CHI – MEKONG DELTA – SAI GON.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Ha Noi arrival - Free (Guide)

Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport in Ha Noi, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in the city centre - a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, ancient temples, old pagodas and peaceful lakes. Check in hotel if available or free at your own convenience to explore the city. Overnight at hotel in Ha Noi.

Day 2: Ha Noi city tour (B/L/- & guide)

Pick up from hotel and transfer to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the most iconic and popular leader of Vietnam, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho’; his house-on-stilts which was built in the style of Vietnam's ethnic minorities, where he lived for most of his remaining days and One-Pillar Pagoda, built of wood on a single stone pillar, designed to resemble a lotus blossom, the symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow.

Continue to visit Temple of Literature, which is a rare example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture. Founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, the temple is dedicated to Confucius (Khong Tu) and honours Vietnam’s finest scholars and men of literary accomplishment. It became Vietnam’s first university in 1076. After lunch, you will visit one of the world's most popular museums - Vietnam's Museum of Ethnology, which gives an insight into Vietnam's diverse culture of the 54 ethnic groups. Enjoy a short visit to the historic Old Quarter of Hanoi with 36 streets named after the goods once sold there. Then head to Hoan Kiem Lake, an oasis of calm right in the heart of the city; nearby Ngoc Son Temple, which is reached via the red-painted, wooden The Huc Bridge. Free time for shopping.

Day 3: Ha Noi – Ha Long – Ha Noi (B/L/- & guide)

Depart from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay in the morning and arrive at the pier around noon. From here you will board a traditional wooden junk boat and start to explore the stunning mystical landscape of Halong Bay, one of the world's most famous UNESCO World Heritage sites where where thousands of limestone karsts and islets in various sizes and shapes rise from the clear, emerald water of the Gulf of Tonkin, most of which are uninhabitated and unaffected by humans. The wind, rain and sea have carved out dramatic caves and grottoes in some of the islands, several of which will be explored. Many have names that reflect the shape of the rocks such as Stone Dog, Incense Burner (Dinh Huong) and Fighting Cock (Ga Choi). At the core of the islets, we will visit a wonderful cave and grotto named Thien Cung (Heavenly Residence Grotto) before returning to Halong pier. Disembark at Halong pier at approximately 16.30 pm and return to Hanoi by vehicle.

Day 4: Ha Noi – Da Nang (B/-/- & guide)

Breakfast at hotel. Leave Ha Noi for a flight to Da Nang City. You will arrive after 1.5-hour flight. Pick up at the airport, Transfer to the hotel for relax.

Day 5: Da Nang – Hoi An city tour – Marble Mountain – Cham Museum – Da Nang (B/-/- & guide)

Start a day by wandering around the charming Hoi An Town, following the narrow lanes, standing the ancient houses on both sides blending with Chinese, Japanese style and a bit of European. The 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Meeting Hall, Tan Ky House and the local fishing market are some quick suggestions for your plan to Hoi An.

Besides a numerous art galleries, museum and tailor shops, where you can get some quick made-to-measure clothes, are also the options to visit. The highlight for today is the Mable Mountain - Ngu Hanh Son, which is a large cluster consisting of five marble and limestone hills called after the five elements: Thuy Son (water), Kim Son (metal), Moc Son (wood), Tho Son (soil) and Hoa Son (fire). After that will be a visit to the typical ancient architecture of Cham Museum which is officially known as the Museum of Champa Sculpture. There remains over 300 original sandstones and terra-cotta objects on display, dated from 7th and 15th centuries, creating the world's best collection of Cham artifacts. In the afternoon, back to hotel in Da Nang for overnight.

Day 6: Free day ai leisure (B/./-)

Free at your own leisure. Relax on the beautiful beach and enjoy excellent swimming pool or go shopping. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 7: Da Nang – Sai Gon (B/-/- & guide)

Breakfast at hotel. Leave Da Nang for a flight to Sai Gon. You will arrive after 1.5-hour flight. Pick up at the airport, Transfer to the hotel for relax.

Day 8: Half day city tour – Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L/- & guide)

Pick up from hotel and start the trip by visiting Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) that was built in 1962 and is well-known as an outstanding example of 1960’s architecture, Notre Dame Cathedral, Center Post Office, Ben Thanh Market – the symbol of Saigon. Learn more about China town through visiting Binh Tay market – the biggest wholesales market in Chinese town, Thien Hau temple – the worshipping place of Chinese community. Have lunch at local restaurant. After that depart to Cu Chi Tunnels. You can learn more about its mystery by watching a documentary film. You will have a chance to know, see and discover the system of tunnels deep underground, can withstand the destructive power of the bomb attack by most of the US military. The air is taken into the tunnel through the vents, which include 3 grounds: from the ground to the first floor is 3m deep, to the second floor is 6m deep and to the third floor is deeper than 12m. Tour guide will show how the tunnel works. Then visit a command center where visitors can eat meals that the Viet Cong fighters had eaten such as rice, typically steamed tapioca and hot tea. Afterthat, discover Hoang Cam smoke-less stove, secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, dangerous booby traps and rice paper workshop. You also have chance to try shooting a variety of Vietnam War era weapons such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60. Drive back to HCM city. Overnight in Sai Gon.

Day 9: Sai Gon – Mekong – Sai Gon (B/L/- & guide)

By vehicle to Ben Tre province, you will cruise down the busy branches of Mekong and into a peaceful canal to see the daily life of farmers. Begin biking on backcountry roads passing through rural villages, rice paddy fields, rivers and canals. Then stop and visit coconut processing workshop and sightseeing daily activities. Next, stop at farmer house for seeing mat weaving and try exotic seasonal fruits unique to the region. After lunch at local restaurant, discover the real life in village by bike, come to workshop to see people make rice paper cake and visit local Cao dai temple. Get along riverside to go back. Return to hotel in Sai Gon for overnight.

Day 10: Sai Gon departure (B/-/- & guide)

At leisure until transfer to Ho Chi Minh airport for your sweet home. End services.
