American news channel CNBC listed central Vietnam among seven lesser-known destinations in the world to consider visiting post-COVID-19 crisis.
Vietnam is blessed with diverse cultural and natural attractions throughout the three regions: North – Central – South. While most visitors to Vietnam travel North to the Capital city Hanoi and the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site Halong Bay or South to the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, the Center region of the country is also worth exploring.
Central Vietnam is also known as Middle Vietnam or The Middle. The area has been famous on the country’s tourism map for having 4 UNESCO heritage sites: Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Complex of Hue Monuments, My Son sanctuary, and Hoi An ancient town, which creates a central heritage road of Vietnam.
Discovered in 2009, the Son Doong Cave complex of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, is currently the biggest cave known to mankind. This mega wonder is the champion in every aspect. Not only exceptional in size but Son Doong is also ranked by BBC News as the most beautiful cave all over the globe.
Additionally, the best beaches in Vietnam are found in the central regions of the country: clear skies, blue bays, secluded coves, pristine beaches, white sands, exotic green palms, and spectacular cliffs. Quy Nhon Town dubbed the “Maldives of Vietnam” is now a rising star, recognized as one of the three tourism hubs of Vietnam’s South Central coastal region along with Da Nang and Nha Trang.
