On 15 November 2025, Thuong Mai University — ranked 8th among Vietnamese universities in 2024 — proudly celebrated its 65th anniversary with a special gathering of former staff, alumni, and current leaders. Founded in 1960 as the Central School of Commerce, the university has grown into one of Vietnam’s leading institutions for economic education. Event Highlights
The ceremony brought together multiple generations to celebrate the school’s achievements and to honour the people who helped shape its 65-year journey. The program featured heartfelt opening remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector – who reflected on the university’s remarkable progress over 65 years. He emphasized the collective spirit, trust, and shared commitment that have enabled the institution to overcome challenges, even during its most difficult periods. He also expressed deep gratitude to partners, faculty, staff, and generations of alumni whose dedication and support continue to drive the university’s success.
