The Golden Bridge in Da Nang City has won the 2021 World Travel Award (WTA) in the ‘world’s leading iconic tourist bridge’ category.
The Golden Bridge, which is 150 meters long and 12.8 meters broad, was designed by architect Vu Viet Anh and his crew as enormous hands made of fiberglass and mesh wire. It gained international attention soon after its debut in June 2018, garnering widespread media coverage and drawing people from all over the world. The Golden Bridge is an alluring combination of cutting-edge architecture and breathtaking scenery. The collocation between the artistic curve and the enormous hands holding the bridge is the Golden Bridge’s most distinctive feature. Taking a stroll around the Golden Bridge is like walking into the skies across the God of Mountain’s hands.
The Golden Bridge belongs to Ba Na Hills Resorts – a complex of restaurants and entertainment facilities, became the winner in the ‘world’s leading iconic tourist attraction’ category this year. It is situated at an altitude of nearly 1,500 meters on the summit of Chua Mountain.
Da Nang is Vietnam’s 4th largest city. It marks the halfway point between Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. The city is also close to the well-known My Khe Beach, Lang Co Beach, Hoi An, and My Son in the central region of Vietnam.
