What to eat in Phnom Penh

Freebird Bar & Grill

This American bar and grill is an extraordinarily comfortable a/c place with an authentic neighborhood bar ambiance and sporting a beautiful wooden bar with extra comfortable seating. If you’re craving for Cambodian food, this family-style restaurant is a great choice as it serves traditional Khmer dishes and offers photo menu for those unfamiliar with the cuisine. Khmer Surin Restaurant

K-West Brasserie-Bar

On the ground floor of the Amanjaya Pancam Hotel you’ll find this upscale riverside restaurant that serves a wide range of contemporary Asian and European cuisines plus a selection of ice cream, coffee and teas. The stylish lobby, bedecked with modern art and hardwood floors is suitable for all occasions: business, family or leisure. It also has a rooftop bar with one of the best sunset views in the city.

Lemongrass Restaurant

A very pleasant decor and atmosphere greet diners in this chic restaurant. Serving authentic, classical Thai and Khmer cuisine, all the usual dishes are here, such as Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, Som Tam, and Lok Lak. They also specialize in some Thai & Khmer dishes that may not be familiar; such as Massaman Nua (beef & potato in savory peanut curry), Koh Tiou (caramelized pork with Kompot pepper), and Gai Hor Baiy Takhai (marinated chicken breast wrapped in lemongrass & pandanas leaves).

My Home Restaurant

My Home restaurant is new restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. For lunch, there are 12 different kinds of fast food include burgers, smoked salmon, chicken avocado, Tex Mex, more. For dinner, you can start with any of the 28 kinds of appetizers and salads (bruschetta, camembert salad, taco salad, etc.). The dinner menu has 37 main dishes (chicken fajitas, Moroccan lamb, Irish stew, etc.), 22 kinds of pasta, and 22 kinds of pizza. They also have Khmer dishes, soup, crepes, and a complete drinks menu.

Shan Dong Restaurant

Shan Dong is a chinese restaurant that popular for its hand-pulled noodles. This pull-noodle soup can’t be beaten, and tastes great with a dash of chili. Dumplings come fried, boiled, and in soup. Main dishes include fish, beef, duck, chicken, squid, frog, and more. They also serve Szechuan, vegetarian, and stir-fry dishes. Upstairs dining room available.

The Deli

This is an Indian restaurant and bakery in one, with fresh and handmade items featured on the menu. The bread, yoghurt, jam, and even the mayonnaise are all homemade. The restaurant serves a wide selection of gourmet salads, soups, hot and cold sandwiches, panini, burgers, wraps, patés, and omelets. Beverages include fruit juices, smoothies, vegetable juices, etc.

Warung Bali

Warung Bali is a small Indonesia restaurant with a delicious treat. The names of just some of the dishes: Rendang daging – stewed beef in coconut sauce, Ayam goreng kecap – deep fried chicken with soy sauce, Ikan bumbu bali – fried fish with sweet soy bean & chili, Telur dadar – Indonesian omelette with onion and chili, Cumi tepung – fried squid with tomato sauce.
