In April 2018, ONEPAY, our valued partner started a school building project for disadvantaged children in Northern Vietnam. In this project, a kindergarten and kitchen for children aged 3-6 will be built in Pyao village, Cao Tan commune, Pac Nam district, Bac Kan province. About 300 km north of Hanoi, Pac Nam district is in the mountainous region, with 44% poor households (2016). Pyao village is one of the most underprivileged ones in the district.

On 18th August 2018, the kindergarten was inaugurated. This school put into operation will help teachers and disadvantaged students in inadequate learning condition to reach out to the world of knowledge in school.

“We started this journey on a rainy day, traveling over 250 km to reach Bac Kan, to Pyao village Kindergarten at which innocent eyes are eagerly waiting for us. Seeing the joyful expression in those lovely faces with new clothes and toys, we are so moved and satisfied. Albeit this little help, we hope that this more spacious and solid school will encourage them to continue going to school in the face of their various difficulties.” (Phoebe, Lan Phuong Bui).
