Tour Plan

Day 1: Hanoi arrival & cyclo tour (-/-/D & guide)

Arrive in Ha Noi. The guide and car will pick up and transfer to hotel for check-in. Enjoy a special cyclo tour around Hoan Kiem Lake and old quarter within one hour before dinner. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour – Lao Cai (B/-/- & guide)

In the morning, you will visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an important place of pilgrimage for Vietnamese, Ho Chi Minh's House-on-Stilts, built in the style of Vietnam's ethnic minorities, surrounded by verdant and peaceful gardens, One-Pillar Pagoda, built in the 11th century, of wood on a single stone pillar resembling a lotus blossom, symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow. Continue to visit Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam founded in 1070 boasting 82 stones with the names, places of birth and achievements of men who received doctorates in each triennial examination from 1442. Transfer back to hotel for free activities in afternoon.

In the afternoon, free on your own until your guide pick you up at the hotel to catch night train to Lao Cai late evening.

Day 3: Lao Cai Market – Sapa (B/-/- & guide)

Arrive at Lao Cai Railway station. After breakfast at restaurant, start the trip early in the morning to explore the vibrant ethnic market and enjoy the beauty of nature and the exotic local ethnic minorities' traditions and customs. On these days, people come here not only to exchange goods and make friends with each other. You can also observe how ethnic people enjoy their lives and how each ethnic minority will dress up carrying their own way of fashion.

(Tue: Coc Ly market; Wed: Cao Son/Sincheng market; Thu: Lung Khau Nhin market; Sat: Can Cau market, Pha Long market, Sun: Bac Ha market, Muong Hum market, Muong Khuong market, Binh Lu market, Tam Duong market).

Depart for Sapa, check-in hotel and relax on your own. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Hang Da Sau Chua - Sapa (B/-/- & guide)

After breakfast, pick up at hotel and start Hang Da - Sau Chua tour. Situated on the side of the mountain, just about 8km east of Sapa, Hang Da and Sau Chua Villages are home to the Black Hmong peoples who have been living their long-established and unique way of life in spite of effects of development and massive tourism in Sapa. This 4-hour trip brings glimpses of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces along the road and then take several short walks to explore small and isolated hamlets of the Black Hmong peoples in the Hang Da and Sau Chua Villages.

Transfer back to hotel in Sapa. Relax on your own. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 5: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B/L/D & guide)

After breakfast& check-out, enjoy a visit to Lao Chai Village which is home to H’Mong ethnic people. Then start a short trek from Lao Chai to the village of the Dzay minority called Ta Van. You will be able to observe and experience how the hill tribe people farming the lands, one of the most important activities in their daily life.

Transfer to Lao Cai for night train to Ha Noi. Have dinner at restaurant before boarding.

Day 6: Hanoi – Ha Long overnight cruise (B/L/D & guide)

After breakfast, enjoy scenic 4-hour drive from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay and experience the spectacular scenery of Ha Long bay on cruise. Enjoy welcome drink and then, receive cruise briefing, check in cabin and begin your cruise. Have lunch while cruising through beautiful islands, beach and stop at beautiful caves on Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a cooking demonstration with the Chef as he prepares traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. Dinner is served on board. Overnight on cruise.

Day 7: Ha Long – Ha Noi – Da Nang (Br/-/- & guide)

Enjoy a Tai chi session on the sundeck in the morning, with a light breakfast of tea, coffee and pastries. Afterwards, set out to explore other caves & islands, and then head back to the ship for a full breakfast buffet. Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for flight to Da Nang and have lunch on your own.

Arrive Da Nang in the afternoon, guide and car will pick up and transfer to hotel for check-in. Relax on your own. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 8: Da Nang – My Son – Hoi An – Da Nang (B/L/- & guide)

In the morning, visit My Son Sanctuary, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most significant ancient monuments of Champa culture and religion in Vietnam. Influenced by the Indian civilization, My Son is considered one of the Southest Asian grand cities besides Angkor (Cambodia), Bagan (Malaysia)...Walking around this ancient kingdom to discover the Archaeology remaining from the 4th to the 10th century.

Back to Hoi An town. Have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, take a tour around the charming Hoi An Town on foot, following the narrow lanes, standing the ancient houses on both sides blending with Chinese, Japanese style and a bit of European, to see the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Meeting Hall, Tan Ky House. Enjoy shopping time here with numerous art galleries, handmade souvenir stores and tailor shops, where you can get some quick made-to-measure clothes.

Transfer back to Da Nang. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 9: Da Nang – Hoi An traditional villages - Da Nang (B/-/- & guide)

You will be picked up at your hotel lobby and transferred to the Bach Dang dock (Hoi An) where you will embark on the boat. Enjoy the picturesque riverside and the peaceful surrounding atmosphere watching local daily life. Arrive Thanh Ha pottery village, which was famous for the earthenware during 16th and 17th century such as bricks, tiles, and floor slabs and mainly used to build Hoi An city. Meet the experts and observe the entire process of making a pottery product such as vase, pot, kettle or cooking pot. Continue to visit Kim Bong carpentry village - very famous for the talented carpenters when Hoi An flourished as a major sea port, and listen to the history of the village, visit the ship-building yards and see the handicrafts and sculptures.

Transfer back to Da Nang. Relax on your own in afternoon. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 10: Da Nang – Hue (B/-/- & guide)

Free on your own until check-out. Pick up from hotel and depart for Hue after that. Arrive Hue in the afternoon, check-in at hotel & relax on your own. Overnight in Hue.

Day 11: Hue City tour (B/L/- & guide)

After breakfast, pick up from hotel in Hue to visit the elaborate Mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh and Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, the fourth emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty; he had his tomb constructed when he was still on the throne in 1848. After learning about the religion and culture, you continue the journey to discover the Imperial Citadel, which covers an area of 52 km2, the construction began between 1804 and 1833 under the Nguyen dynasty, surrounded as a fortification guarded by 80 bunkers and a deep trench of 40m large, connected by a bridge in front of ten gates.

In the late afternoon you will find yourself in Dong Ba market, the biggest and most significant market in Hue in particular, and Central Vietnam in general. Here, you can find traditional local products on sale together with a variety of things, from the conical hats, toothpicks to luxurious jewelleries. Afterwards, you will have time to enjoy a boat trip on the romantic Perfume River and visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. Overnight in Hue.

Day 12: Hue Villages – Saigon (B/L/- & guide)

After early breakfast & check-out, start your day excitingly and healthily by cycling toward Thuy Bieu Eco-village. On the way to get there, there is a stop-by in the altar of Nam Giao-where Nguyen Dynasty Sacrificed Heaven. Keep going to Vong Canh Hill. On top of the hill, with the height of 47m, Perfumes River appears in front of you with all its beauty. It is highly recommended that you take as many photos as you can. Keep cycling toward Thuy Bieu Village along verdant paths, you can see local people’s daily life. Arrive in Thuy Bieu Village. Thuy Bieu Village has been well-known with its immense grapefruit gardens, of which its grapefruit is different from other species throughout VietNam. The grapefruit is smaller but sweeter and is known under the name of Thanh Tra. Enjoy a nice biking and walking around the quiet Thuy Bieu Village, feeling relax and comfortable in a friendly atmosphere of the local people. You also have chance to visit Luong Quan Temple where important ceremonies are held. You will join many activities with the natives, the activity which is considered the most impressive of the excursion - try being a true farmer to plant trees and flowers, to fish like a true fisherman, and to cook Vietnamese foods and local foods with local guidance. Enjoying your own works afterwards would be memorable. This is a chance for you to contact with the local people and experience the daily life of Vietnamese farmers.

After lunch, take a rest, you can stay in the garden house or walk through Thanh Tra Gardens and depart for Phu Bai airport for domestic flight to Saigon. Arrive Saigon in late afternoon, guide and car will pick up and transfer to hotel for check-in. Relax on your own. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 13: Saigon City tour – Cu Chi – Saigon (B/L/- & guide)

In the morning, pick up from hotel and start the trip by visiting Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) that was built in 1962 and is well-known as an outstanding example of 1960’s architecture, Notre Dame Cathedral, Center Post Office, Ben Thanh Market – the symbol of Saigon. Learn more about China town through visiting Binh Tay market – the biggest wholesales market in Chinese town, Thien Hau temple – the worshipping place of Chinese community.

After lunch, drive to Cu Chi tunnels, then you can learn more about the mystery of Cu Chi Tunnels by watching a documentary film. You will have a chance to know, see and discover the system of tunnels deep underground; can withstand the destructive power of the bomb attack by most of the US military. The air is taken into the tunnel through the vents, which include 3 grounds: from the ground to the first floor is 3m deep, to the second floor is 6m deep and to the third floor is deeper than 12m. Tour guide will show how the tunnel works. Then visit a command center where visitors can eat meals that the Viet Cong fighters had eaten such as rice, typically steamed tapioca and hot tea. After that, discover Hoang Cam smoke-less stove, secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, dangerous booby traps and rice paper workshop. You also have chance to try shooting a variety of Vietnam War era weapons such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60. Drive back to hotel in Saigon. Overnight in Saigon

Day 14: Saigon – Ben Tre (B/L/- & guide)

After breakfast, pick up from hotel and transfer to Ben Tre – Mekong Delta. Upon arrival at Ben Tre, you will cruise down the busy branches of Mekong and into a peaceful canal to see the daily life of farmers. Begin biking on backcountry roads passing through rural villages, rice paddy fields, rivers and canals. Then stop and visit coconut processing workshop and sightseeing daily activities. Next, stop at farmer house for seeing mat weaving and try exotic seasonal fruits unique to the region. After lunch at local restaurant, discover the real life in village by bike, come to workshop to see people make rice paper cake and visit local Cao dai temple. Get along riverside to go back. Transfer to hotel in Ben Tre. Overnight in Ben Tre.

Day 15: Ben Tre – Cai Lay – Can Tho (B/L/- & guide)

After breakfast, transfer to Cai Lay’s local pier; take a wooden boat to enjoy countryside scenery and river life while touring on the small river to your starting point of cycling trip. The ride is about 7km on shady narrow village roads curving over tiny canals and passing through fruit gardens and sleepy villages. Some stops en route to visit the traditional workshops where produce spring roll paper and roof thatching. Then, arrive at the home of a tropical fruit farmer and have a walk around his orchard. Enjoy the opportunity to taste fresh fruits. Then relax while enjoying the view from a small sampan boat as you are paddled slowly along tropical canals. Disembark and continue your ride through this Mekong village to an ancient house, enjoy a friendly interaction with these hospitable residents in their 100 years old house before tasting a hosted lunch with traditional delicacy of the Mekong land. Following, bid farewell to the family before transfer to Can Tho this late noon. Check-in at hotel and relax. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 16: Phong Dien & Cai Rang floating market (B/-/- & guide)

In the early morning, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your accommodation and drive to Phong Dien which takes 30 minutes from Can Tho center.

Upon arrival at Phong Dien, you will take gentle arrow-boat and cruise to the unique and stunning floating markets of Phong Dien and Cai Rang. Nothing will be better than enjoying the morning coffee served by the local coffee boat and watching the whole world of trading going on from boats to boats. Phong Dien is smaller in scale but there are many rowing boats as retailed market. As our boat edges through the market, you will be surely driven back to the yester-centuries by the sound of bargaining, rowing, motoring mixed with the sound made from the coffee boats, meat boats, grocery boats, ice boat, etc.

Leaving Phong Dien floating market, our boat will speed up through green and amazing channels of the Mekong River stretching along rural villages and arrive in Cai Rang floating market. It is much bigger and is more of wholesale market with many more big and motored boats. And this will complete an authentic picture of around a million floating traders in this region who have been happily living the floating life and earning their living on some 50,000km of waterways in the Mekong Delta. Back to the pier and continue to go to other places or coming back to hotel and have a late breakfast.

Day 17: Tra Su Sanctuary Forest & Cham Village (B/L/- & guide)

In the morning, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your accommodation. You will reach the pier after 1 hour drive from Chau Doc and start to discover one of the fascinating sights in the region - Tra Su Sanctuary Forest where you will travel by sampan boat through endless waterways flanked by mangroves and lush greenery. This eco-reserve spans 850 hectares and is an ecological haven for fauna and flora, with more than 100 species of water birds as well as home to colonies of bats. On the way to the forest you will visit a small ethnic Khmer village, where you will learn about the importance of Buddhism in the community and have the opportunity to speak with monks at the local monastery.

After lunch at restaurant with local specialties, transfer back to Chau Doc to take another boat ride and explore local life at this beautiful land. The boat will gently bring you to visit one of the floating fish farms(see with client’s own eyes the people’s life on floating fish Farm, meet the fish farmers, see the fish being feed). After leaving the fish farm, continue to explore the Cham Village (Muslim Village). This is a great opportunity for you to admire Cham People’s Culture. You can even visit Cham People’s house and talk to the host as well as see how they weave fabric. Along the way back to the pier, you can enjoy a view of Chau Doc Floating Market. Arrive in Chau Doc Tourist Pier and transfer back to your accommodation. Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 18: Chau Doc – Can Tho (B/-/- & guide)

Free on your own until check-out time. Transfer to Can Tho and check-in at hotel. Free on your own. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 19: Can Tho – Phu Quoc (B/-/- & guide)

Free on your own until check-out time and go to airport for domestic flight to Phu Quoc.

Arrive Phu Quoc in afternoon, guide and car will pick up and transfer to hotel for check-in. Relax on your own. Overnight in Phu Quoc.

Day 20: Phu Quoc (B/-/-)

Free time for relax. Overnight in Phu Quoc.

Day 21: Phu Quoc - Saigon (B/-/- & guide)

Free on your own until check-out time and go to airport for domestic flight to Saigon.

Day 22: Saigon Departure (B/-/- & guide)
