Vietnamese second most confident in Asia-Pacific about post-pandemic travel

In a survey, optimistic travelers Vietnam ranked 2nd in Asia-Pacific in terms of tourism after the Covid pandemic with 85% planning a trip in the next 12 months.

According to the Travel Confidence survey of the US online travel company Booking.com, Vietnam is only behind India (86%). Booking.com conducted a survey of 11,000 travelers from 11 countries and territories in the region between April and May.

The third place is China, which is one of the few countries in the world that applies the zero Covid-19 policy. In fourth place is Australia, followed by New Zealand.

According to the survey, 62% of Vietnamese travelers plan to make one or two trips this year, and 45% plan to visit popular tourist destinations near Vietnam with a flight time of 3 to 8 hours. A total of 82% of Vietnamese surveyed said they are glad that Vietnam has reopened its borders to international travel and lifted most of the COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Currently, the top concern of Vietnamese tourists is high travel costs (53%), quarantine regulations (36%), the possibility of contracting Covid-19 while traveling ( 32%) and sudden changes in Covid-19 entry requirements (31%).

Vietnam allows free entry in quarantine from March 15 and also waives Covid testing requirements from May 15. Currently, it is very easy to enter Vietnam.
