Cu Lao Cham (Cham Islands) is located approximately 15 kilometers from the ancient town of Hoi An and quite near Cua Dai Beach. This exotic destination is endowed with marvelous topography of mountain slopes and biological diversity. Cu Lao Cham Island has fantastic sand beaches, forested hills and the sea. Today the Cham islands are also a Marine Protected Area (MPA) because of their many important marine habitants, especially beaches and coral reefs, and rich biodiversity. Cham Islands scores UNESCO-recognized Biosphere Reserve in the world since 2009 with about 135 species in 35 genera of corals. Several marine products of high economic value, such as lobsters, groupers, snappers, crabs, shrimps, and clams, occur in this area.
