With the global Halal tourism market expected to exceed USD 200 billion by 2025 and a young, experience-focused Muslim population driving demand, the seminar arrived at a pivotal moment. In 2024, Hanoi welcomed approximately 650,000 tourists from Halal-majority countries—nearly 15% of the city’s total international arrivals—demonstrating both the current momentum and future potential of this segment.

Jointly organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism and Halal Vietnam, the event gathered representatives from government bodies, Halal certification organizations, tourism businesses, and service providers. Discussions focused on practical strategies to develop Halal-certified products, improve service standards, and position Hanoi as a leading destination in this growing market.

Representing Eviva Tour, Ms. Merline (Marketing Executive) engaged with participants, exchanging ideas on how travel companies can better understand and cater to the needs of Muslim travelers – emphasizing cultural sensitivity, authenticity, and personalized experiences.

The seminar also featured a keynote by Mr. Mieu Abbas – Chairman of Halal Vietnam – who emphasized that Halal is not just a religious concept but a global standard of quality, safety, and business ethics. He highlighted the need for standardized guidelines, expert support, and dedicated infrastructure to help local businesses effectively engage with the international Halal market, positioning Hanoi as a leading destination for Muslim travelers.
