Vietnam National Museum of History becomes one of the most architecturally remarkable museums blending successfully French colonial and traditional Vietnamese design elements.

The Vietnam National Museum of History is located in Kiem district, right in the heart of Ha Noi Capital City. Built in the early 20th century, from 1925 to 1932, this museum becomes one of the most architecturally remarkable museums blending successfully French colonial and traditional Vietnamese design elements. The National Museum has approximately 200,000 Vietnam’s artifacts from 300,000-400,000 years prehistory to the present days, in its 2,200 m2 area.

There are two buildings displaying Vietnam artifacts in different period of time. The first building is about the period from prehistoric to Nguyen Dynasty, which is located in No 1 Trang Tien Street. The second building is about the modern history from 1858 until now.

The Mausoleum is opened in the morning from 8:00 – 12:00, and in the afternoon from 13:30 – 17:00. Also the museum is closed on the first Monday of every month. You will need to buy entrance ticket, which is 40,000 VND/ticket (about US$2). Vietnamese students and pupil will be discounted to 15,000 VND and 10,000 VND per ticket respectively. It should be noticed also that in order to take photos of filming within the premises, you will have to pay for an amount varying from 15,000 to 400,000 VND. Please contact us for further guide.
