Kbal Chhay Waterfall is located in Khan Prey Nup, about 16 kilometers from the downtown Sihanoukville in the North. The water in Kbal Chhay flows from many sources along the mountain range but only three of them are visible. Kbal Chhay is 14 meters high starting at the point where these three sources accompany. The waterfall was discovered in 1960, three years later, it was progressed into a tank to supply clean water for the whole city of Sihanoukville.
However, the progression was interupted by the war and cannot be completed until many years later by Kok An Company. The most beautiful and attractive time to enjoy white froth of water cascading down of Kbal Chhay waterfall is in wet season from July to October. Opposite to wet season, the waterfall only has enough water to managing to trickle down in dry season.
